About our Founder,
Séréna

Hi, I’m Séréna - pole artist, performer,
and founder of La Chrome Barre.

Born and raised in Tokyo, I trained in ballet and gymnastics; disciplines rooted in precision and control.
At 14, I slipped on my first pair of heels and discovered heels dance. For the first time, movement felt authentic, feminine, and deeply mine.

When I later moved to Montréal, I discovered something even more transformative: pole dancing.
It wasn’t just movement - it was liberation.

Over the past years, I’ve taught across Canada, performed internationally, and earned recognition in competitions, including:

  • Winner- Pole Sports Org Champ ‘21

  • Winner- Pole Masters Champ ‘24

  • 1st Runner Up - Pole Sports Org Heels ‘25

However, given the raw and vulnerable nature of this dance style, I always longed for a smaller, more personal space - a quiet sanctuary where I could move without distractions and let the outside world fade away.

In founding La Chrome Barre, my vision was to create exactly that: a boutique pole studio designed primarily for private rentals.
A space that feels liberating and deeply personal; where every artist can move freely, explore their voice, and feel at home.
